NAGPUR-WEATHER

FINALLY...............YES!!! THE MERCURY HAS DIPPED BELOW 10 DEG CEL AND YESTERDAY(16TH DEC2010) THE MINIMUM WAS RECORDED AT 8.5DEG CEL. BLAME IT TO THE NORTHERLY WINDS UPTO 500Mb AND CLOUDLESS SKIES. HOWEVER THE MERCURY FOR THE NEXT WEEK TILL 23RD DEC 2010 WILL CONTINUE TO HOVER AROUND 10 DEG CEL (+2/-3). SUNDAY 19TH DEC2010 COULD BE MORE CHILLY DUE TO WIND CHILL FACTOR (WIND SPEEDS MAY BE AROUND 10 Kmph) GIVING A FEEL OF ABOUT 05 DEG CEL. DECIMAL BY DECIMAL, THE MINIMUM TEMPS WILL CONTINUE TO DROP TILL 23RD DEC2010 AND THEN RISE BY ABOUT FOUR DEG CEL DUE TO CHANGE IN WIND DIRECTION TO WESTERLY (MAY BE DUE TO WD). PARTLY CLOUDY SKY ON SAT.18TH DEC2010 AND CLEAR SKIES ON 19TH AND 20TH DEC2010. THERE MAY BE AROUND 10 MB FALL IN SLP FROM SUN THROUGH THU. THE ZERO DEG ISOTHERM WILL ALSO RISE WITH MAX AND MIN TEMPS FROM 23RD/24TH. WITH RH ALSO RISING FROM 40% TO 60% A BIT OF CLOUDING MAY BE EXPECTED.

Nagpur-Weather

Before I could update here, Nagpur today witnessed a trace of rainfall. The depression in the bay of bengal is moving along the eastern coast of INDIA and traces of moisture creeping into vidarbha. Windchill factor dominated the day, today, with wind speeds around 12 to 15 Kmph, the feel was chilling. I maintain a rise in minimum temperature from 08th till 11th Dec 2010. On 12th and 13th Dec 2010, there will be a sharp decline in the minimum temperature and may reach 10 deg cel.(+2/-1 range) with windspeed around 12 Kmph, a bit of chill factor will also be present. We may see clear sky from 15th Dec 2010 onwards.
SOME ASIAN COUNTRIES ARE PRESENTLY WITNESSING AN EXTREMELY SEVERE COLD WEATHER WITH MONGOLIA RECORDING BELOW -20 DEG CEL AND SOME PARTS OF RUSSIA -45 TO -50 DEG CEL
